Meeting with Congressman Dennis
Kucinich
- Hello, Mars Society - Ohio Chapter Members -
On Monday, 23 Nov 98 at 11:15 a.m., the Mars Society - Ohio Chapter
will be meeting with Congressman Dennis Kucinich in his downtown Cleveland
office to discuss our goals and priorities. My thanks to Jeff
Roche for
setting this up.
This is YOUR chance to get actively involved again. Remember the
excitement and enthusiasm we shared at the Founding Convention ?
Dreams
don't come true without working for them. If we believe in what
the Mars
Society is trying to do, if we want our grandchildren to have that New
Frontier, then we must do the work NOW. Help us do the work.
If we can get 5 or 6 people together on such short notice, it will send
a clear message to the Congressman: that this cause is IMPORTANT
to us,
momentous enough to make us stop what we're doing and pull together,
that we
will answer when that horn is sounded. Help us do the work.
I will be driving up from Dayton, and anyone from Dayton/Cincinnati
area is welcome to ride up with me. Anyone living in Cleveland,
please
consider taking a long lunch break to meet with us. We'll be meeting
in
Jeff Roche's home in Cleveland for 15 minutes or so to discuss how to
give
the presentation, then just walking in and talking to the Congressman.
I don't expect people to turn out for every meeting with our elected
representatives: we all have lives to live outside the Mars Society.
But
let's try to unite for this, our premier contact with the people who
fund
